The Winthrop Economic Development Authority (EDA) works to meet the development needs of existing and new businesses. The EDA is responsible for administering programs that support business and industry. Through business development assistance the EDA helps to strengthen and grow Winthrop and the local economy.

The Winthrop EDA has been working with the Cities of Gibbon, Gaylord and New Ulm on addressing the housing issues that face all of our towns through attending Minnesota Housing Partnership’s Housing Institute 6. We have collectively launched a central website to hold all of the local areas realtors, banks, and rental properties.
