The City of Winthrop has rules relating to cogeneration and small power production. These rules are in compliance with state statues regarding distributed energy resources and net metering in the State of Minnesota. The following resources are available for anyone interested in owning their own solar array or wind turbine and the interconnection process. A Distributed Generation Application must be approved before any connection can be made.
